Savannah and Bryce’s ocean view wedding really was remarkable though – and they allowed me to be part of their wedding story more intimately than what even I’m used to. Admittedly, it was a nice break from the Texas wedding venues I’m used to, but seeing as the three of us are from Dallas, we brought a little bit of Texas with us.

Alright, first, let’s just paint the picture…

Now where do we begin? Oh, here we go. Let’s start with the venue.

About Dreams Playa Mujeres in Cancun Mexico

Dreams Playa Mujeres is a wedding venue found in a gated community with the Caribbean Sea right in sight.

This Golf and Spa resort has many different ceremony locations that couples can choose to get married at. There is the Gazebo, which allows up to 150 guests to attend. Then, you also have the Beach, which is perfect for large weddings with up to 300 guests able to attend!

There is also the Central Garden, which 350 guests can occupy, and for smaller ceremonies, there is Over the Water, which is a location beside one of their two infinity pools.

Other Dream Playa Mujeres wedding locations include the Paramount Suite, Presidential Suite Ocean Front, Cove Terrace, Mermaid Terrace, Pool Terrace, Azure Veranda, and the Ballroom.

In total, there are 11 ceremony locations – each perfect for different size weddings!

With as many locations available as there are, it’s wonderful that they only will host 2 weddings in a day.

A wedding here is more than throwing together a few tables with white linens together and calling it a wedding – the entire thing is one great experience.

About Savannah and Bryce

Now, I couldn’t tell you exactly how Savannah and Bryce met – but I can tell you that they compliment each other very well.

The two of them are also down for amazing experiences. Obviously, because they had one of the best destination weddings in Cancun and made an entire week of the event.

I can’t tell you about them unless I tell you a bit about the experience I had with them myself.

This entire week I spent with them was nothing short of amazing. They truly took me in as one of their own and treated me as if I was family.

I’m no stranger to attending a rehearsal and spending time with a couple with a private dinner. However, this dinner was different because they had a spot reserved for me at the table with them and their parents.

 Beyond the dinner, I was given a spot at the welcome party and even made one of the guys!

We had cigars and the whole sha-bang together. Our goal is to never be “just another vendor” and to be more of a guest. Bryce and Savannah, however, made me feel as though I was a member of the wedding.

Leading up to the wedding, one of the concerns they had was to have consistency in the engagement, bridal, and wedding photos.

Since we’re all from Dallas, we made the process simple! We photographed their engagement and bridal sessions here, and they took us to take their Dreams Playa Mujeres photos. It was a win-win for everyone!

With the variety of the Dreams Playa Mujeres wedding packages available, the two of them chose to have their wedding under the Gazebo.

With the white sand beaches under our feet, clear skies above, and an amazing view of the ocean, they had easily one of the most exciting weddings of the year.

The rest of the day went as you would imagine. Everyone was able to enjoy a private cocktail hour, followed by a reception with a private bar with the bartender serving top shelf drinks and everyone getting down on the dance floor.

Then, at the end of the night, we headed to the hotel bar for a night cap. 

The day after the wedding, it was unfortunately time to pack up and head back to the real world after a fantastic week. .

Planning a Destination Wedding with Nathan and Zoey Photography

This is a day I think most everyone would say they would happily relive. The weather was perfect, the couple a dream, and the atmosphere was everything a wedding of this caliber should be.

These Dreams Playa Mujeres images pale in comparison to what the day was like, but if there is anything these photos do, it takes me back to this awesome day.
