One thing Zoey and I love is an elegant wedding with a whole lot of flair – and that’s exactly what we were able to get out of this amazing couple! Madeline and Garret’s June wedding at the Grand Ivory in Leonard, Texas was a classically beautiful affair full of family, friends, and personal touches. Zoey and I had a ball celebrating with them. Without further adieu, let’s dive in:

About the couple

College sweethearts Madeline and Garret met during their undergrad together as Accounting majors at Texas Tech. Today, the couple work together as accountants at Deloitte!

Their Wedding at the Grand Ivory

The Grand Ivory is a wedding venue in Leonard, Texas that encompasses 18 acres of southern charm, picturesque countryside, and a white-walled chapel and outdoor spaces.

The Grand Ivory is a true blank canvas. White walls and stunning landscapes make a great backdrop for any type of wedding vibe or theme. Couples looking to host an outdoor wedding can take advantage of the Ivory Arches or the Grand Ivory Chapel as their ceremony site. The chapel’s 3,000 sq ft. can accommodate up to 250 guests, and offers a stunning view of the pond and hills on the property.

Fun fact: The Grand Ivory Chapel has retractable windows! Your guest will be comfortable during any season as the chapel can be easily enclosed with windows, making it versatile for all seasons.

Though Madeline’s late grandfather was unable to be there with us, Madeline’s mother, Kelly, brought a bottle of champagne to toast with before the ceremony. This bottle of champagne wasn’t just any bottle, though. Coincidentally, the bottle shared Madeline’s grandfather’s name. With a toast to him before the ceremony, Madeline and Garret said their I Do’s with the spirit of Madeline’s grandfather in their hearts, under the white roof of the ivory chapel.

Madeline and Garret’s friends and family really came together for them on their wedding day. Ya’ll, love was definitely in the air. Though it was a scorcher in Texas on this day,  Garret’s groomsmen honored their friends by embroidering their initials on custom hats, and tore it up on the dance floor anyway.

The rest of Madeline and Garret’s wedding night was spent on the dance floor. Guests, friends, family, and vendors all found themselves shakin’ and shimmying under the white roof of the Grand Ivory’s Barn.

Of course, this wedding at the Grand Ivory wouldn’t be complete without a grand exit. In a flurry of glitter and fanfare, after a night of dancing and laughter, Madeline and Garret crawled into the back of their getaway car, and off into the night they went!
