We’re going to make this point right from the start – creating a wedding team that understands each other’s vision and is comfortable working together can instantly elevate the entire wedding experience. This happened with AJ and Hunter’s engagement session at the Adolphus hotel as our good (read best) friend Taylor at Traveling Weddings with Taylor was able to help secure a stunning designer gown for the session. If you are in for reading about a stylish couple who had tons of fun, then you are in for a treat with this Adolphus hotel engagement session. Oh, and there’s a puppy!

Engagement Session at The Adolphus
AJ + Hunter
One thing Nathan and I are big on in our photography is that how we experience the moment is just as important as the images that come from it. So we thought it was awesome that AJ and Hunter decided to make a night of it and stay at the hotel before we met them up there groggy eyed and caffeine deficient to start the sunrise session.
One thing that made it even more worth it, was that not only did the session include AJ and Hunter, but their dog, Wyatt, who they have had and been obsessed with since the very beginning of their relationship.
Now, it’s not by accident we were at this historic hotel for their session. We are people who understand a good vision, just ask the manifestation wall in our bedroom. During the Engagement planning call with AJ it was evident that she wanted something grand and elegant and we knew the Adolphus would be the perfect backdrop.
Second, there was the matter of one of the gowns AJ wanted to wear. We planned for several outfit changes during the session, and it was fun to watch as AJ transformed with each outfit she put on. None of these transformations were more evident than when she put on the Naeem Khan designer gown Taylor was able to secure for us. Her eyes lit up, and so did Hunter’s! Guest after Guest at the hotel stopped to tell her how stunning she looked in it.
All in all, we loved spending time with AJ and Hunter for their Adolphus Hotel engagement session in Dallas. It was a beautiful and collaborative effort, thanks to our friends at the Adolphus and for Taylor.
